Chrome has disabled Adbloc and does not allow any extensions or themes either

Mine saya it cannot unzip anything, including themes. All files are invalid apparently. I don't like Firefox rally, either. It's ridiculous

My Chrome allows Adblock.
Perhaps you need to delete and reinstall Chrome?

I had Adblock plus, still no joy. I cannot get anything from Chrome Webstore and re-installing did not help

Is your antivirus up to date and working?
There's also something called malwarebytes that may be helpful. It has a free version.
https://www.malwarebytes.com/

I found this as well.
After trying everything else, in my case it turned out that I had a virus called nova rambler virus, which took over my google search in chrome, among other things.

I removed the virus, but the issue still remained.

It turned out that, the malware inserted an entry in my hosts file, located at ( C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc)

The entry:

127.0.0.1 clients2.google.com

I removed it, and in my case, removed 3 more entries below it to the end of the file, ”just to be sure”. The issue was completely solved.

All my extensions appeared again, and now I can install new ones.
