What's a Podcast ?

Postby ChoccyCake » March 7th, 2018, 11:52 am

I listen to the radio a lot but also hear that the extended bits of
a programme is on a podcast. Like my favourites, Life Scientific
and The Infinite Monkey Cage. Plus a lot of others.

But I don't know what a podcast is, would I have to buy
a techy type of thing?

BBC ones are supposedly free (what is)

Thanks
Sally x

£1.30 in ASDA
There was a young Scots bloke called Piglet
Who walked round his house in his singlet
When his eyes fell on Poods
His thoughts turned quite lewd
Now the clothing he likes are her fishnets

You can download the show onto any device that can connect to the internet. You can then listen to it at any time you like which is useful if you want to hear a show at at time of your choosing and you can store it on your device.

If you have an internet radio you can listen to them on there, with a load of other things.

There's a radio on our oven.

It's next to the only spare plug point in the kitchen.

I guess that your oven in your cooker's an electric one?
Mine's a gas cooker.
Anyway I asked what's a podcast not what's a radio or cooker.

Mo, thanks that's kind although Digby, Piggy and JW's posts have
made me :) Anyway I've never had radio in a cooker or toaster.
