I remember it like it was yesterday

and what a rotten day yesterday was...
The world is like a ride in an amusement park, and when you choose to go on it you think it's real because that's how powerful our minds are. The ride goes up and down, around and around, it has thrills and chills, and it's very brightly coloured, and it's very loud, and it's fun for a while. Many people have been on the ride a long time, and they begin to wonder, "Hey, is this real, or is this just a ride?" And other people have remembered, and they come back to us and say, "Hey, don't worry; don't be afraid, ever, because this is just a ride."

A Saturday when Dr Jones by Aqua was number one and the Angel of the North was unveiled near the A1 Gateshead.

After 20 years you an officially fart in bed without being embarrassed or apologising. So well done you!

My formula for living is quite simple. I get up in the morning and I go to bed at night. In between, I occupy myself as best I can.

Why does today's Temporary sign have Wednesday 18 April's date on it,
instead of Thursday 19 April? Good one though
My 2 very loved cats are Smudge, an 10 year old female, her feline 'friend' is Tommy, a 13 year old male.
They are both black and white.

Can I just say in defence when the TS is updated you type into two text bars (main heading and sub-heading) and these show only a couple of dozen character that a time then move off screen as you continue typing. The whole message can't be viewed when submitting. Sometimes I spot errors then go back into the admin control panel and update, more often I haven't time to do it again.

Don't worry about it.
We all appreciate the effort you make, and can work out the real date ourselves.

28th April 1975 - I bet she died with a smile on her face, eh, readers?(...335)

The death in London of the world's most travelled goat. She had circumnavigated the world twice, first on Dolphin under Captain Wallis, then on Cook's Endeavour.

28th April 1975? That's a good age for a goat.

Royce was a local guy, born in a village that is now on the outskirts of Peterborough. He had a car park named after him but the powers at be thought it would better for the car parks to be called, Red, Green, Yellow and Blue rather than after local slebs like Edith Cavell, Henry Royce, John Clare and Frank Perkins.
