The EU Withdrawal Bill

The EU Withdrawal Bill

Postby LisaJ » June 13th, 2018, 1:33 pm

What an utter shambles that was in parliament last night. 15 minutes given to debate devolution after promises from Mundell that ample time would be given to allow a debate. 15 minutes that were taken up wholly by David Liddington and not one MP for Scotland or Wales was given any time to put their points forward.

The Scottish Parliament with the exception of the tories voted against allowing Westminster their power grab but Labour MPs and my Lib Dem MP abstained which allowed the UK government to pretty much tear up the Scotland Act 1998.

The "Scottish" media, of course, pretty much doesn't give a flying fuck.

Have a wee read of Wings.

The SNP have just walked out of the HoC after one of their number was told to leave the Chamber.

That would be Ian Blackford, the SNP Westminster leader.

That's the bunny.

Let's hope the voting isn't down to one vote either way.
